Public Schools and Enrollment in Mill Valley

Mill Valley is served by the Mill Valley School District (MVSD), which includes five elementary schools—Edna Maguire, Old Mill, Park, Strawberry Point, and Tam Valley—and Mill Valley Middle School. The district is known for its strong academics and active community support.

Unlike many other Marin cities, MVSD uses a public school lottery system for elementary school enrollment. Families submit preferences and are assigned based on availability, rather than strict geographic zones.
